Registry Governance

This section describes the governance and leadership model of the Natural Capital Alliance (NatCap) Community Plugin Registry.

Plugin review is conducted by a Reviewer Pool, which is comprised of volunteers from Natural Capital Alliance member organizations. Reviewer Pool members have the authority to approve or reject plugin submissions for inclusion in the Community Registry based on the criteria outlined in the Plugin Review Rubric. Any reviewer in the Reviewer Pool can review and approve a plugin submission.

The Community Plugin Registry is maintained by the Natural Capital Alliance Stanford Software Team. The Software Team is currently responsible for fulfilling the role of Community Manager, and has the authority to respond to violations of the NatCap InVEST Community Code of Conduct or to remove any plugin from the registry that is determined to pose a security risk or to be in violation of the policies outlined in these documents.

The Natural Capital Alliance Platform Steering Committee (PSC), the governing body for NatCap science and software, has the authority to resolve any conflicts related to Plugin Registry governance that may arise.
